Being the strongest, outermost layer of the hide to be used, and keeping the grain in its entirety, rather than being sanded away to look more ‘uniform’, full-grain leather lasts much longer. As it ages, it develops a patina, which is the change in color over time. This change occurs faster on untreated pieces and is considered to be a highly desirable characteristic of leather.

On the smooth, unaltered surface, you can even see the pores and small hair follicles (if you use a magnifying glass), which indicates that the leather is of high quality. Other characteristics to take note of are fat wrinkles or growth lines, natural variations in the grain texture, shading, and small scars.

Every hide is unique as it comes from a different animal with different markings and blemishes so when looking at or working with full-grain leather you’ll soon realize that no two hides are exactly the same.

I would love to be able to give you a great review on your bag but as you use Yodel to deliver (they are notoriously bad at their job), I have never received my bag and now Yodel says it is lost and that I must claim a refund from Minooy!

Quality bag

Extremely pleased with this bag. Bought an alternative wide fabric strap to go with it which is also lovely. Practical but stylish. Recommend

I was doubtful that the bag would be as good as it appears, and was worried that I might have spent a lot of money on something substandard. I did not need to worry: the bag is absolutely ideal, so ingenious in its design that it will contain far more than its small size suggests is possible. The leather is fine quality, the buckles and trims substantial and classy and it has already been admired.

The quality is superb inside and out. I love the organisation - they really have thought of everything. Only took a week to get to the UK. Definitely wont be my last purchase from this brand.
